A squirrel dug it up and took it away, and it gave me a squash ANYWAY.
The squirrels in my neighborhood are...enthusiastic appreciators of agricultural effort, we'll say. I planted a Waltham, a squirrel dug it up and took it off under a tree, where I didn't see it again. But I found a squash in the autumn anyway!
